A Waste of Time
Our past memories may be
stepping stones to the future
but such aging antiquities
shouldn’t bring us to our knees.
To bow down and worship the past
will not help the present to last
and the future is coming fast
but a frantic race is forecast.
We can’t control passage of time.
We doubt if time even exists.
It is a measuring device
which has no beginning or end.
And yet, we ask gods to forgive
the fast pace which all of us live.
