Merry Christmas
I wanted my Christmas to be
a day full of clouds and rainy.
We can thank god it isn’t snow.
A sleigh ride might be dandy tho.
Most of my friends have gone away
to be with their grand kids today.
It’s quiet in this lonely place
with no quarreling kids to face.
We can relax and doze in peace
hoping our rent will not increase.
I can no longer drive a car;
or no longer walk very far.
It is a Merry Christmas day.
I’m glad i have a place to stay.
