Living Mendaciously
Intentionally living a lie
because we think we are going to die
(and still believe in heaven or hell)
doesn’t serve anyone very well.
This may not come as a big surprise
but all of us learned a bunch of lies.
Many people cannot face the truth
we should have learned as a youth.
When they learned Santa was a myth
they found truth hard to struggle with.
Such people just keep on pretending
there is a beginning and ending.
They won’t accept immortality
which might relieve their mendacity.
