Listen to the Directions
To raise our lives to a higher level
we must be at war with the devil;
that imaginary demiurge
from whence our basest actions emerge.
To say, “The devil made me do it”
says, “I knew better but i blew it.”
If we live poorly disciplined lives
the final day of judgment arrives.
Aware of a cosmic consciousness,
we dwell in eternal happiness.
While guiding us to this better choice
our conscience is like an inner voice.
I hear the voice of a god declare
“Live like an angel while you are there.”
