Give Us Another Chance
I think of Jesus when i pray;
especially on Christmas day.
Who may be aborning tonight?
Perhaps this time we’ll hear him right.
“Love your brother” wasn’t enough.
He may insist on stronger stuff.
How about “Love your enemy”?
That should be strong enough for me.
Jesus already said that too
but we found it too hard to do.
What we may need is fortitude
to help us change our attitude.
“Give us such strength” i beg of you
to hear the words and follow through.
