Chess or Scrabble Is Fun
In playing with one another
are we tempted to compete?
Do we really love our brother
who we’re trying to defeat?
A lover or an enemy;
we’re told to love both of them.
What is the cost of victory
if competition is too grim?
Winning doesn’t exact a price;
competition isn’t a sin.
Enjoy the game is my advice
therefore it is time to begin.
It doesn’t matter–win or lose
if having fun is what we choose.
