But, What Is It”?
If it is true,
“If there is no God
everything is possible”
as Dostoevsky suggested,
it may also be true
that nothing is worthwhile.
But, if there are many gods,
we are all allowed
freedom of choice.
If there is a cosmic consciousness,
are our selected gods its conscience?
I find it difficult to believe
that there is no purpose
in the universe we call our world.
Everything seems coordinated
by something we must call
a divine intelligence.
If we disabuse ourselves
of the idea that each of us
is the ultimate purpose
of the multiple universes,
we can realize that we
are each a part
of a larger purpose.
