Who Needs Forsooth?
The heart discovers its own truth
when using the strange word forsooth.
It is a word for truth, indeed
but a word which we do not need.
Truth doesn’t need an adjective
for it is always positive.
If the absolute truth should die,
our whole world would seem like a lie.
It is from imagination
truth derives its inspiration ,
for it doesn’t live in the facts
but more often in the syntax.
It is often the way it is said
that keeps the facts from being dead.
