Reflections on Light
A beautiful sunset and moonrise
both came at the same time today.
I have found it is no great surprise
it happens in Tucson this way.
The nearer to the equator we get
the more often it happens like this.
We expect a beautiful sunset
but little note what moonrise is.
The moonrise is a symbol of love
and highlights our expectation.
Whereas sunset is a symbol of
the daylight’s eradication.
We watch both of them come and go
and both provide an inner glow.
