Rationalism

I have been thought a naif,
easy to accept belief.
That doesn’t imply i’m naive
about the things i believe.
      Some think i’m sophisticated;
      my wisdom is celebrated.
      What these people don’t seem to know
      is how gullible they are though.
I don’t consider childlike awe
an unsophisticated flaw.
The childlike spell i am under
makes me view the world with wonder.
      I wonder just who is naive
      with all the nonsense they believe.
