Our Purpose Is
My purpose in life is to
help other people find
the happiness and satisfaction
i have enjoyed in my own life.
      I believe the way i can do this
is to write poems they will read.
I try to discover what type of poems
they enjoy reading and how i
may be able to appeal to them.
     I find that i can best do this
by making “we” the narrator.
This stems from my conviction
that we are in this world together
and good intention toward others
is the royal road to happiness.
      I hope my next poem will be
the best one i have written,
whether it rhymes or not,
and will help part of the human race
to become better as we grow.
     Buddha wanted to relieve misery;
Jesus wanted us to love each other.
I want us to be able to understand
these and other wise men.

the internet may give us access to it.
If we all contribute to it
by sharing the little bit we know,
everything which is said and done
will be available to everyone.
