Not Merely Adapting
Wondering if there might be
any new adventures for me
i moved into a retirement home
perhaps to never again roam.
      After giving away my car
      i haven’t been sorry so far.
      I have adapted to this life.
      The thing i miss most is my wife.
I have learned to love ev’ryone
where this new lifestyle has begun.
I don’t covet any new things
or exciting happenings.
      I have a lot of gratitude
      that my love of life is renewed.
