Just As I Thought
Two common beliefs which exist
are a mystery in a mist.
Why do so many folks accept
the beginning and end concept?
And, why is justice understood
as a reward for being good?
There is no valid evidence
to say these things make any sense.
People are born and people die.
I suppose that is the reason why
people are ready to defend
such things as beginning and end.
This assumes the body to be
all of our personality.
Such assumptions are bizarre
when we realize who we are.
To suggest justice will prevail
means that no one should be in jail.
Why should good people have to pay
for putting the bad ones away?
That no one gets what we deserve
is very easy to observe.
