Good Intentions
Has my life been, as i once thought,
an answer to the things i sought?
What i wanted was happiness,
an avoidance of loneliness.
A life of happy circumstance
doesn’t simply happen by chance
but depends on our good intent.
That’s what brotherly love has meant.
What i have given and received
depended on what i believed.
I have found the happiness of
a world full of brotherly love.
I’ve found that what happens to be
depends on love, starting with me.
