The Avant Garde Rhymester
I’m not a slave to tradition
but i have to face recognition
of being hampered because i’m
an occasional slave to rhyme.
It is often hard to elude
all the rhymes which try to intrude
and may look as if they’re contrived.
while my meaning has not survived.
If i could write like an idiot child
on whom the muse of poetry has smiled
all of my poems could be published too.
Instead, i have to e-mail them to you.
I am not trying to be obscure.
I am only an amateur.
