A Spiritual Atmosphere
In classical music which i hear.
spiritual awareness is near.
While alone in meditation,
i’m uplifted on occasion.
I’m not in a worshipful stance
or participating in chants.
In other words spiritual
doesn’t require a ritual.
Contacting your subconsciousness
is a much simpler business.
You cannot do it in a crowd
with peace and quiet not allowed.
I long for camaraderie
but my spirit belongs to me.
We can all share the universe.
If we didn’t, things might be worse.
We sometimes need to be alone.
confronting our gods on our own.
One of the things we cannot share
is talking to gods in prayer.
One practice which i always keep:
to talk with gods B4 i sleep.
I need to have someone to thank;
someone whom i cannot outrank.
After giving thanks i may ask,
“What should be my tomorrow’s task?”
But i may fall asleep B4
i listen to gods any more.
