Politics As Unusual
This time it has been different
and it has cost us even more.
It has become quite evident
politics has to be paid for.
Who has to pay for elections
and who benefits from campaigns?
Are democratic selections
where only the rich person gains?
Sometimes politicians are bought
and become only sycophants.
The political wars are fought
between donkeys and elephants.
Will a jack ass as president
be worth the money we have spent?
