No Worship, But Love
Worship i cannot understand.
It is an arrogant demand
that we all be subservient
to some person or some event.
But like peas in a pod we are
all as important as a czar.
There is no kind of hierarchy
to diminish democracy.
There may be reverence or love
for ideals we are conscious of
but no fawning praise of someone
in hopes that rewards can be won.
Worship and rituals may be
the worst kind of hypocrisy.
