Moving Experiences
I watched as the ocean drank the sun
and i realized the day was done.
Tomorrow would be another day.
Then the lightning bugs came out to play.
The people came in from the beaches
to enjoy ice cream with peaches.
These are the days i can remember
about the middle of September.
But now, i live in a desert clime;
as i watch the sun set this time
it seems to be playing hide and seek
and hiding behind a mountain peak.
There are no lightning bugs around
and no surf making a constant sound.
