It May Be Obscure, For Sure
Poems have a slipperiness
You may wonder, “What is this mess?”
If you think the poem is obscure,
it is a real poem for sure;
because it made you stop and think:
“Why did the poet waste the ink?
Did he hope you would enjoy
a new thought like a brand new toy?”
He may seem to be asking you,
or else telling you, what to do.
If thinking makes you feel confused.
then relax, and just be amused.
The poet is likely having fun.
Don’t let him be the only one.
