Do sounds often make sense
It Sounds Familiar
without any sense of sound?
or, are we held in suspense
until some meaning is found?
If you should overhear
a discussion on Shakespeare,
in a language you don’t know
does it make sense, even so?
It does seem that in some way
we understand what people say
with no common definitions
or similar ambitions.
Tho our gods are not similar
we do not wonder who they are.
