The View From Here
Can anyone tell me why
some young poets want to die?
I’m a rhymester who is old
with life i want to enfold.
I want to retain the spark,
not going easy into dark.
It’s attitude lets you see
life as a thing of beauty.
Why would someone want to grieve
for beauty they have to leave?
There’s nothing mysterious–
they take life too serious.
An optimistic view of life
sees beauty instead of strife.
