Unbound–Perhaps A Jester
Living out there–the edge of sanity,
you can look with a thrill at the chasm.
Unrestrained and yet filled with vanity
you bask in laughs when no one else has’em.
Rules which tie a carefree soul down,
ignored, allowing you to fly free
with tilted halo instead of a crown
you seem like a carefree angel to me.
You pick up a pencil and free your mind,
then let imagination have its way.
You don’t let restrictions of any kind
circumscribe the fool things you want to say.
You are a member of the avant garde.
A poets life doesn’t seem very hard.
