So, Who Am I to Know?
Am i an oracle to say how
to understand gods and know the tao?
If my arrogance irritates you,
i don’t mean to tell you what to do.
But, i peeked into the circus tent
and i know where the elephants went.
The biggest animal of them all
is afraid of a mouse who is small.
These secrets which i try to tell you
are not like the turning of a screw.
The rewards, and perhaps punishments,
are hidden in multi-colored tents.
Because i have been able to peek
it seems impossible not to speak.
