Neither Alone Nor Lonely
The world can be a lonely place
with the problems we have to face
but camaraderie cures that
for those who sit where Buddha sat.
To look with an unbiased view
is to see the whole world anew.
Taking ourselves seriously
foretells a lonely destiny.
To see ourselves as just a part
of the world could make a new start.
To dismiss the cloud we’re under
we need the lightning and thunder
as symbols of wonder and awe.
Humility is not a flaw.
