Love Can Conquer Fear
Lost in a sea of desolation
love sneaks away to isolation.
We are often all afraid to care
for the other souls living out there.
Caring insures some loss of freedom
like books we are afraid to read from.
Knowledge we are afraid to consume
where fears for freedom seem to loom.
A fear of finding out who we are
may appear to be a bridge too far.
Baring our souls when we do not dare
trust other strangers who may not care
may be freedom we don’t want to face
but love can allow freedom with grace.
