Love, But Careless Love
Spiritual doesn’t have to mean good
although most people think that it should.
Emotions, which may be good or bad,
derive from experiences we’ve had.
Spirits are not a big mystery
if we study our own history.
They are not ineffable at all
and their differences may be small.
Indifference helps us reconcile
sad experiences with a smile.
Taking ourselves too seriously
is a path leading to misery.
Indifference, which makes us care less
is the road leading to happiness.
As soon as we recognize
that the body always dies
we begin to care too much
for hearts, brains, senses and such.
The soul is an entity
with a different destiny.
The body is just a shell
which most of us love too well.
When the body fades away
the soul is still here to stay.
Spiritual things never die.
Indifferent gods say why.
If you listen, you will hear
“Immortality is here.”
Individuality
Is Not A Necessity
Now i lay me down to sleep
my own soul i want to keep.
If my body doesn’t wake,
well, so what, for goodness sake.
My immortal soul lives on
after the body is gone.
Like a pea which has lost its pod
my soul is a part of god.
There’s no beginning or end
which our gods have to defend.
Souls don’t need to be reborn
when Gabriel blows his horn.
When i wake up i will know
“I’m still here, and i won’t go.”
