Love Ain’t Always Just
Erotic love is not only lust
but openness to the one we trust.
Yet, there is not any denying
it is full of moaning and sighing.
We abandon caution and restraint
so that calm, calculating it ain’t.
Agape love, on the other hand
can be easier to understand.
That doesn’t mean agape love is less
likely to offer us happiness.
Both can be joined with joy and laughter
living happily ever after.
But if her lover has done her wrong
she’ll be singing a different song.
