Look, Quick!
A swift, strong, rain shower swept thru
as monsoon rains are apt to do.
I didn’t get wet, but i might
if it keeps on raining tonight.
These short rain storms come and go
as Sonoran dwellers soon know.
Rain is something we always need
to nourish the flowers or seed.
But, heavier rains, if you please
would be more nourishing than these.
They often create a quick flood
but don’t sink in and make mud.
How lucky can anyone get?
No trees, perhaps a violet.
