How It Should Be
A fictitious memoir may be
truer than the reality.
We all know that “What might have been”
is truer than the life we’re in.
What all of the poets extol
is an imaginative soul.
Poets are allowed to relax
instead of sticking to the facts.
Statistics are more like a lie
telling us when we’re apt to die.
I find it easier to forgive
the dream worlds in which we all live.
While the bible may not be true
Psalms can often give us a clue.
