A Hell of a Dilemma
Tossed into a dungeon of lost souls
where an angel of hell calls the roles
I hear my name called above the rest;
all eliminated from the blessed.
This is the school for those who are lost,
for transgressors who must pay the cost.
All will have a hard schedule like mine
to learn obeisance to the divine.
But we rebels, heretics, and all
could refuse to answer the role call.
That is the reason we are in hell:
this innate tendency to rebel.
But how else can we all become free
and retain personal dignity?
