Random Acts of Kindness
As he slid out from under the car
he saw a little girl standing there
with a dripping cherry ice cream cone
which she extended to his hot face.
He took a lingering lick and said,
“I really needed that” and then grinned.
These little things which some people do
are little signs saying “i love you.”
A black mechanic and small lady
are often distant strangers maybe
but all boundaries are demolished
whenever our souls have been polished
by someone to show how much they care
with happiness they’re willing to share.
