Now I Lay Me . . .
The restorative hours of the night
in which most of us easily sleep
are restless to those who might
have too many promises to keep.
The costs of responsibility
may become a heavy price to pay
and erosion of humility
can keep their relaxation away.
Some people have a need to let go
but because their teeth are always clenched
responsibilities tend to grow,
a sense of restlessness has commenced.
I am thankful i always sleep well.
Being tense and restless must be hell.
