My Blog: Walt Abbott Poems
The next big thing will be tongue-in-cheek
as we listen to the poets speak,
Not taking them too seriously
but loving them mysteriously.
Poets and readers will be a blend;
more listeners will be a godsend.
Obscurity we will not endure
and not so much learned bull manure.
Just ordinary people like me
will be writing the most poetry
while rhymes, that great mnemonic device,
will regain stature–isn’t that nice?
And the internet, and blogs, no doubt
will bring this revolution about.
