Horology: The Study of Time
The science called horology
is as strange as astrology
for time may be an illusion
which always ends in confusion.
There isn’t any time but now;
like the mule never sees the plow.
He sees nothing of what’s ahead
and what he saw before is dead.
But now is relative to what
if both past and future are shut?
As the earth moves around the sun
it makes a fool of ev’ryone.
Something also seems to spin it
at so many miles a minute.
