Heaven Can Wait
If it be my destiny or fate
to reach immortality, i’ll wait,
for i believe the kingdom is now
and i’ll enjoy each moment somehow.
I’m not investing in future dreams
but living in the present, it seems.
Right now is all that really exists
as my temporal time clock insists.
The illusion of a finite place
after the end of the human race
assumes that our time, itself, will stop,
and the big bang was only a pop.
If this small pop was our creator,
only gods know what might come later.
