The Campaign Becomes Insane
I think of competitiveness
as a greedy self-centered mess.
Corporate, consumerism
have too many problems with’em.
They do not have democracy,
only “What is in it for me?”
All our politicians refuse
to face the facts of what they lose
by selling out to the wealthy.
It is socially unhealthy.
Campaign money becomes their goal
even as they tarnish their soul.
So all our leaders can be bought
in this system in which we’re caught.
